EV Charging

EV charging that pays its way.

Shoan Electrical is the licensed installation partner for EVME — smart Charging-as-a-Service for hotels, strata, apartments, holiday parks and long-stay parking, now taking founding-site enquiries across Sydney. We also install dedicated home EV chargers.

How it works

EVME manages the platform. We wire it in.

EVME supplies and manages the smart charging layer — QR start/stop, user-paid sessions, access control and live reporting. Shoan Electrical completes every part of the licensed electrical installation.

Together we turn ordinary parking bays into managed, paid charging points. Drivers self-serve; energy costs come back to you automatically; there are no billing headaches for property owners.

  • Smart Level 1 & Level 2 charging, right-sized per site
  • Drivers scan, charge and pay — no app required
  • Operators recover energy costs automatically
  • Access control for guests, residents, staff or public
  • Live dashboard with usage, sessions and reporting
  • Staged rollout — start with one bay, expand as demand grows

What it looks like

Smart, discreet, built to last.

A low-profile smart outlet, installed cleanly — whether it's a single home charger or a full bank of bays across a strata car park.

Who it’s for

Built for properties where cars sit still.

Anywhere vehicles park for hours is a candidate. Charging becomes a guest amenity, a resident service or a new line of revenue — without the property carrying the energy bill.

Hotels & motels

A charging bay is now a booking filter. Offer overnight charging as a paid amenity that guests find on every EV trip-planning map.

Strata & apartments

Access-controlled, user-paid charging for residents — the owners corporation never carries the energy cost. Start with two bays, scale with demand.

Holiday parks

EV travellers plan trips around charging. Powered sites plus managed charging keeps them booking — and paying for the power they use.

Home EV chargers

A dedicated home charger, installed properly: capacity assessment, switchboard work if needed, and a fixed price agreed before we start.

Questions

EV charging, answered.

Does Shoan Electrical install EV chargers in Sydney?
Yes. Shoan Electrical is the licensed installation partner for EVME, a Charging-as-a-Service platform for hotels, strata, apartments, holiday parks and long-stay parking. We also install dedicated home EV chargers across the Sydney metro.
What is EVME and how does it work?
EVME is a smart charging platform. EVME supplies and manages the smart charging layer — QR start/stop, user payments, access control and reporting — while Shoan Electrical completes the licensed electrical installation. Drivers scan, charge and pay; the property recovers its energy costs automatically.
How much does EV charger installation cost?
It depends on your switchboard capacity, cable run distance and the charger type. Residential installations are quoted free of charge with a fixed price agreed before work starts. Commercial and multi-bay sites are quoted from a site assessment.
Do I need three-phase power for an EV charger?
Not necessarily. Many homes and sites charge effectively on single-phase Level 1 or Level 2 charging. We assess your available capacity and recommend the right fit — there’s no value in paying for capacity you won’t use.
Can our strata building add EV charging?
Yes. The EVME model is designed for strata: access control limits charging to approved residents, sessions are user-paid, and the owners corporation isn’t left carrying the energy bill. Rollouts can start with one or two bays and expand as demand grows.
